Forest City Baseball and Softball Association is a 501(c)(3) designated charity that exists for the sole purpose of teaching baseball and softball to the youth of the greater Susquehanna and Lackawanna county areas, specifically Forest City, Uniondale, Carbondale, and surrounding areas.
We are currently offering programs in Baseball through the Babe Ruth Cal Ripken program serving ages up to 12 years old. We have a T-ball, Rookies, Minors and Majors program. The program participates in Cal Ripken District 5. The Minors and Majors teams participate in the District 5 All Star tournament yearly by age. The Minors and Majors participate in games through the TriCounty League which encompases teams from Valley View, Minooka, North Pocono, and Mountainview Cal Ripken programs.
We also offer a 13-15 year old Teen Baseball program through the Western Wayne Babe Ruth League.
We are currently offering programs in Softball through the Pennsylvania ASA and participating in the Valley Petunia, Junior Petunia, and 17U programs. The softball program covers ages from 7-8 years of age through 17 years old.
We are a volunteer organization with zero paid staff. We are simply fathers and mothers like you taking an interest in the development of our children and the youth of our area. Team sports teach many life lessons to youth that are invaluable and difficult to teach if they do not participate in some sort of group league or activity. There are no secret handshakes, codes or requirements to volunteer to help except to pass a background check according to Pennsylvania State Law. If you are interested in helping whether you have a child in the program or not please reach out to our president for more information.
We are glad you visited us and hope you will join our team!
