Softball Field Project Underway
The new softball field is nearing completion of phase 1. The field is in, the fencing is in, drainage system is in, field tarp is in, portable mound has arrived, the backstop topper has been added, power has been run to the field, the concessions trailer is functional, the gates are in.
Kinder Morgan has come forward with a 32,000 dollar donation and the field is going to be named Kinder Morgan Field at Kennedy Park. This will give sufficient money to finish the field. The league thanks Kinider Morgan for its generosity and partnership with this project. Plans are underway for phase two and will be released soon.

Kennedy Park Upper Field Renovation
The Forest City Baseball Association is currently working on converting the upper field at Kennedy park currently used as a baseball practice field, to a full size, multiuse, baseball and softball field. Over 20,000 dollars worth of cash and in kind labor has been pledged and received toward the project. A Baseball Tomorrow Grant has been submitted pending approval in April for the first phase of the project which will cost approximately 40,000.
A current project is underway in cooperation with the Borough of Forest City for a second phase of the project which could bring more improvements like electricity, water, lights, and a scoreboard to the field, as well as a concession. The Association and Borough have agreed to team up for the submission of a second grant that would include major improvements to all of Kennedy Park.
Both of these projects are matching funds grants, and the association is raising funds toward these projects. If you can help please contact Judy Graham Fund Raising Chairman on the board
